He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role We have a great opportunity for a part time 32 hours a week Receptionist/Administrator to join our team in beautiful Nelson providing both reception and administrative tasks. You will become an integral part of a front-line team that provides outstanding customer service to our patients. The role can be demanding and requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong commitment to quality and the ability to multi-task.
Your work day will look like:
- Schedule and confirm imaging appointments (by phone, online or face to face) and communicate relevant information to the patient, including any preparation requirements
- Welcome and direct patients and visitors upon arrival to the clinic
- Identify the correct funding pathway and advise the patient of any shortfall
- Complete general administrative tasks such as typing letters, collating and analysing data and providing general departmental support
- Liaise with referring doctors or practitioners regarding patient imaging requirements and maintain accurate records of the patient’s medical and personal details in our radiology information system
- Some days of the week you will be on the front desk and other days balancing arranging appoints and administrative tasks

- Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with the public and working in a team environment
- Outstanding time management skills and the ability to work in a precise and accurate manner, particularly under pressure
